Why is Human Rights Day a public holiday?

Human Rights Day is a national holiday in South Africa that is always celebrated on March 21st. The holiday commemorates the establishment of the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC).

Reminder: Please take note that our office will be closed on Monday, 20 March, and Tuesday 21 March.
